Hey everyone, I’m really confused and worried. I recently signed up for a health insurance plan with a company called “Innovative Partners” after finding them online when I was looking for marketplace insurance. The person on the phone made it sound good, but now I’m seeing a lot of people online saying they are a scam. For example, one user said they spent months trying to cancel their insurance from May/June 2024 and still got charged. Another person mentioned they were owed hundreds of dollars in reimbursement that they never received. I’m starting to think I made a huge mistake. Has anyone else had experience with them?

After I realized it was a scam, I emailed them to cancel within their supposed 30-day cancellation window. But then they directed me to the same people who scammed me in the first place. It feels like they have no intention of actually letting people cancel.

Someone else mentioned that when you look at your bill, only about 40% goes to the actual insurance, and a massive 60% is for “membership cost”. That sounds like a huge waste of money.

I’m dealing with them too. They deducted fees for three months, around $1000, but didn’t pay for my doctor visit or any medical orders. Then they claimed it was because I used the plan before a “30-day waiting period,” even though their agent told me I could use it right away.

They pulled the same trick on me! They pretended to be my real insurance company when I searched online and signed me up for this plan I never asked for. Then they charged me $500 and sent a bogus insurance card.
