I’m considering moving my insurance to Lemonade because their prices seem lower, but I’ve seen some mixed reviews online. Before I make the jump for potentially saving a few bucks, I wanted to hear from people who’ve actually used Lemonade for their home, auto, or pet insurance. Have you had a good or bad experience, especially when it comes to claims? Any real-life stories or numbers you can share would be super helpful in making my decision!

I tried to cancel my Lemonade home insurance, but their email response just directed me to a cancellation option that didn’t exist in the app, and they didn’t respond to my follow-up emails. This lack of responsiveness made it impossible to manage my policy properly.

I had a renter’s insurance claim with Lemonade after a fire, and despite the vendor estimating my clothing and electronics loss at $9-$11k a month ago, I received $0 for loss of use because they said I hadn’t reached my $2,500 deductible. This felt unfair since the personal property damage clearly exceeded the deductible.

When I had a fire in my apartment building and filed a claim with Lemonade, my adjuster was constantly unavailable and gave me incorrect information. They even told me I would get nothing for loss of use, but I eventually received a payout, showing they didn’t know what they were doing. The whole process took a long time and was incredibly frustrating.

I filed a claim with Lemonade for my dog’s non-pre-existing condition, supported by my vet, and they still denied it. This made me believe that their pet insurance might not be as reliable as it seems.
